Lego Videogames

So, unlike Scott, I am not an avide "gamer."  *Gasp*  I know.  It's like I'm an outsider.  That does not mean that I don't enjoy playing video games.  It just means that I don't play them all of the time.  But when I do, I like to play more "Mario" type game, story/adventure games.  I think that is why I like to ply the Lego games.

Scott and I started playing the Lego Star Wars when it first came out.  We had fun flying around and using our Jedi powers and blowing ourselves up.  Scott would create high jumping, dark force using bounty hunters.  He thought they were great.

Then we got Lego Star Wars, the Original Trilogy.  And it was fun to do the same things but with new stories.  I think we got 100% completes on both the Original Story and the first one that came out.  Then the Complete Saga came out, and we bought that.  So yes, we basically have both games twice.  but we weren't that into it.  It was the same thing that we had just done.  But we did most of it.  I think we get almost all the achievments.

With the Complete Saga, we were able to unlock Indiana Jones.  Scott and I talked about what we thought the game would be like.  There was nothing that you could use to replace the "Force" and after that, what else was there?  So Lego Indiana came out and we didn't really see the need to get it.

But then Scott saw that Lego Batman was comming out this week.  And we started talking about it again.  Batman, although a superhero, has no super powers.  How were they going to replace that force, bounty hunter, bot aspects?  Well, didn't really matter, it was Batman so Scott had to get it.  And he picked up Indiana as well.  But we started with Batman first.

I must say I enjoy punching/kicking/body slamming the little Lego people until they explode into Lego bits.  It's a type of anger release.  There is also a little more thought needed to get through the levels.  Things aren't as aparent or automatic.  There are also a bunch of different tech suits that batman or Robin can wear.  They have to be unlocked, just like the characters even.  The game is different enough from the Star Wars games that you get into it again.  But it is still everything that you love about the Lego Star Wars games.

The only thing I could do without is Scott constantly yelling, "I am batman!"
